Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the awesome fishing experience. We went out for the afternoon "grass fishing" the rising tide for redfish, and we fished the backwater creeks the following morning on a falling tide, and both were experiences I'll never forget. Fishing the grass in the flats boat is like hunting, and the quality of the the redfish on both trips was amazing. I have fished saltwater, mostly surf-fishing, for years, and had never caught a redfish. After two trips with Shallowminded Capt. Jessey Vereen, I'm hooked on redfishing. My first catch was a beautiful 28" red, and he was right where Jessey thought he would be. We caught several BIG redfish, a flounder, and black drum. We were very impressed by Mark's knowledge of the waters, tides, fish, etc. He knew where the fish would be, and how to catch them. He truly is an expert in the field, and a great teacher. He made it a great time for everyone. The education we gained during these few hours of fishing will produce fish for years to come. We will certainly be back, and we will fish with Capt Jessey again.

About ten years ago, I decided to do some salt water fishing while on our annual vacation at Myrtle Beach. I knew that I wanted to book an inshore fishing charter and was lucky enough to have found Capt Jessey's Website, fishmyrtlebeach.com. I've been a repeat customer ever since and have my 2011 trip already on the books. I would just like to let everyone know a little about Capt. Jessey Vereen. I first met him over 10 years ago fishing the SKA Tournament Circuit. Even then he was especially attentive and soaked up any information that might make him a better fisherman and improve his catches.
Several years ago he moved back home to the North Myrtle Beach area and made the decision to concentrate on guiding the inshore and nearshore waters. He quickly added to the knowledge he had gathered from years of fishing with his family and became the premiere inshore/nearshore guide in his area. I featured him in an article on the area several years ago and we are currently scheduling another.
Capt. Vereem knows the fishing in his area better than anyone else and strives to provide every client a great time on the water. Even better than that, he is a personable young man and is fun to fish with. When someone calls me for a guide reference in the North Myrtle Beach area, he is the fisherman I suggest.
