This past week the weather was cold but there were several groups wanting to get out and try some of our areas great inshore fishing. We mainly have been focused on fishing for the Redfish in the shallow water creeks but there is plenty of other action to be had. The Black Drum have been thick around the Sunset Beach Bridge and can't refuse a shrimp tipped jig or a fresh chunk of Blue crab fished on a carolina rig. There continues to be a decent Trout bite out at the Little River Jetty's but more recently there has been a good bite near the Little River swing bridge. Billy Bay Halo shrimp are my favorite this time of year but any shrimp imitation should work, remember to fish very slow as the water is really cold. The Myrtle Beach Boat Show is this coming weekend, I will be conducting seminars throughout the weekend and hanging out in the Marine Service Center of Little River booth, stop by and say Hi and share a fishing story with me.There is still some fishing to be had so don't put your rods up yet. Catch you guys later.
